  • Status: PRN and Full-time, 40/hrs. week


As a Medical Assistant (MA), within our residential facility, the applicant will participate as a member of the crisis services medical team in offering Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services to clients on our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and through our Behavioral Health Urgent Care walk-in clinic. This MA position will follow through with medical services ordered and assist with the individual care plans for MAT program clients in accordance with policies, rules, regulations, and directives that apply. Some duties include providing on-going assessment of individual needs to ensure basic medical needs are met, and coordinate with internal/external supportive resources to deliver medical and behavioral health services to the client. The position will expose the MA to a variety of clients who utilize our walk-in clinic CSU.

Experiences and Background We Look For

  • Required: High School Diploma or Associates Degree. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening for all federally illegal substances, including THC.
  • Preferred: Experience with effective client interventions in crisis situations. Experience with substance use and/or sever mental illness and evidence-based interventions. Medical Assistant certificate preferred but required.

Wage Ranges

Full Time and PRN hours available.   Apprenticeship eligible positions.  Note that employees working at Garcia House and in the Riverside mobile/crisis locations earn additional 20% pay. 

Employees may be eligible for additional pay based on evening, night, weekend or holiday work.  Typical hiring range base pay rates are based on relevant qualifications and experience. 

  • Certified Medical Assistant $20.75-$29.05 
  • Non-Certified Medical Assistant $17.25-24.15
