Leads agency efforts in establishing equitable, productive outpatient behavioral health care services offering outpatient management of mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions serving children, adolescents, and adults. Leads agency efforts in establishing other innovative care delivery models including Opioid Treatment Program, rapid access to SUD/MAT care, outpatient SUD care, and evolving bed-based care model. Responsible for supervising outpatient medical staff including psychiatrists, nurses, licensed nurse practitioners and selected support staff. Establishes practice standards that ensure medical resources are utilized at an optimal level. Oversees the clinical integrity of the overall organization, promoting the application of evidence-based practices in a managed care environment.

As Medical Director, you will have strong/effective verbal and written communications skills, time management and prioritizing of workload and the ability to plan and organize work in a multi-disciplinary setting. The position requires being part of an on-call rotation.
Need to have the ability to appropriately supervise and evaluate the professional competence of multi-disciplinary mental health professionals, establish and maintain cooperative inter- and intra-organizational work relationships and judgment and problem-solving competency, able to draw correct conclusions from situations and make necessary recommendations.
As an Advanced medical practitioner/MD/APN, the employee will provide direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients. You will complete physical examinations with clients admitted to the Crisis Residential Program within twenty-four (24) hours of admission, and function as the medical team representative on a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services. As Advanced Practitioner responsibilities include evaluate patients for medical disorders and determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Prescribing medication when necessary, and whenever indicated, make referrals to an appropriate specialist(s) for further assessment or treatment. It is essential to maintain documentation and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care. The practitioner will maintain up-to-date and accurate records according to agency standards.

The typical hiring range for this position, based on relevant years of experience is $215,000 to $315,000.
This position may require the top candidate to go through the pre-hire credentialing process to be able to provide services to our clients. In this case, to help maintain and expeditious process, the top candidate will complete the necessary credentialing forms within 48 hours of receiving the job offer.
