The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for understanding clinical workflows, operational procedures, and organizational policies to support the technical, cultural, and process changes necessary for successful implementation and optimization of the electronic health record system at SummitStone Health Partners. This position will provide support for clinical staff for proper use and optimization of Avatar/NX and related ancillary systems. The Clinical Informaticist works closely with the subject matter experts in each area to facilitate educational and change management processes for system changes.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to assess, redesign, and continually improve effectiveness and productivity of clinical systems; Communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to identify issues, review resolutions, and receive feedback on recommendations; Participate in multiple aspects of electronic medical record development and implementation; Develop methods to gather, analyze, and implement patient solutions using existing resources and devices; Evaluate the workflows and integrations of the system(s) and prioritize and implement enhancements, version updates, and identify long term optimization strategies; Participate in the planning of go-live support, testing activities, reporting, and clinical needs prioritization. 


Strong candidates will have: Advanced knowledge of electronic health information systems; Knowledge of project management techniques and processes; Skills in technology, system workflows, electronic processes, and secure management of health records; Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills; Critical thinking, problem solving, and quality customer service skills; Ability to create and maintain effective training materials and manuals; Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities, among other skills.

Experiences and Background We Look For

  • Required:  Bachelor's degree in Nursing,  Information Technology, Informatics, or related field; 3+ years of clinical and/or healthcare experience working in healthcare IT and with an electronic health information system; Valid Colorado driver's license.
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual/BI-Cultural. Experience with process improvement and/or information systems within a clinical setting; RN

Wage Ranges

The typical hiring range for a 40-hour work week, based on relevant qualifications and experience is: 

  •  $73,750 - $88,504 year
